Feedstock: Our facility only accepts materials
for processing which have been properly prepared for shredding. Materials
delivered to the facility must not contain any free liquid, pressurized gas,
flammable, combustible or explosive material, hazardous waste or material, hazardous or toxic substance, marine pollutant, ozone depleting
substance (Freon), hazardous air pollutant, polychlorinated biphenyl (PCB) at
concentrations equal to or greater than 50 parts per million, or any other
materials not amenable to shredding (excluded materials).
Scrap metal is processed and separated into three primary categories:
Shred.- The ferrous metals once crushed become manageable and are easy to transport to the mills.
Zorba.- Aluminum and Copper. Fluff.- Non ferrous metals and Fluff.
We comply with the United States Environmental
Protection Agency (EPA) and Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ)
rules to ensure proper source control of all incoming materials.
We specialize in the recycling
and trade of ferrous and non-ferrous scrap typically known as “shred” and
aluminum and copper “zorba” recovered from our process. We also trade HMS
and P&S materials.
